SOLX: Ein neues Laser/Shunt-System zur operativen Behandlung des Glaukomes durch Laser-Trabekuloplastik, Implantation eines Gold-Micro-Shunts, Phototitration des Micro-Shunts.
Der Microshunt wird in einer minimalinvasiven Operation, ähnlich einer externen Zyklodialyse, in den suprachoroidalen Spalt eingebracht und in die Vorderkammer eingeführt. Dadurch wird eine Drainage des Kammerwassers aus der Vorderkammer in den suprachoroidalen Raum, unterstützt durch den Druckgradienten, erzielt.
Durch die Teilnahme am Kurs wird eine Teil-Zertifizierung zur Anwendung der neuen OP-Technik erteilt, welche nach FDA-Richtlinien vorgeschrieben ist.
SOLX: a new, laser/shunt system for the surgical treatment of glaucoma through laser-trabeculoplasty, implantation of a gold micro shunt, phototitration of the micro-shunt. In this minimally invasive surgical technique, similar to an external cyclodialysis, the micro-shunt is inserted between the supraciliary space and the anterior chamber. The shunt creates a new fluidic pathway by connecting these two spaces, supported by the pressure gradient.
Partial certification in the application of this new surgical technique is awarded following participation in this course. This certification is mandatory according FDA regulations.
