Das Symposium stellt die internationalen Entwicklungen aktiver subretinaler Implantate dar. Besprochen werden die verschiedenen technischen Lösungen zum Ersatz der Photorezeptoren durch elektronische Implantate, die bei den ersten Patienten transchorioidalen Operationsverfahren und die Funktionsprüfung dieser Implantate.
